One common trait that is across human civilization is the herd mentality.
Earlier it was the barrage of cold calls selling un-secured loans, now its the donation related tele-calling. Yesterday I received 3 of them, and I feel it would increase in the coming days. Just wait it will come to you too.
Somebody has to start and the whole industry tows the line.
ICICI Bank started giving free credit cards, the whole industry followed blindly fearing losing of market share. We know for ourselves where the credit card industry is today - on the brink of closure. If you were wondering why suddenly you have stopped getting calls selling credit card, now you know. Today you cant get a credit card even if you call and request them. Such a great product satisfying such a basic human need. But....
I remember my first day at MICA when we were asked to introduce ourselves. The first person started with name, hometown and education, the next 10 guys did the same till our professor stopped us to give our first lesson - don't be 'another brick in the wall'.
Yes it is risky, time consuming and difficult to think differently. Its even more difficult to substantiate something which is out of the ordinary. How can you substantiate gut feel, intuition and instinct?
The point is even if we take one intuitive, instinctive decision every month, it would make a huge difference. It would either towards a new initiative or towards negating some obvious decisions that we end up taking to be safe.
Guys lets be compulsive rebel. Lets be creative. Lets add value.
Lets think instinct, not too much.
This blog is about my love to read, observe, understand and experience; and share what I read, observed, understood and felt.
A result of my father's valued words urging me to never stop observing
and to maintain a diary of my observations. Thanks for dropping by.
